Troy: The Odyssey – Galxy Movie Spotlight
Just in time for the release of Christopher Nolan’s Odyssey, our Galxy movie spotlight this time lands on Troy: The Odyssey, a 2017 action-adventure adaptation of the story directed and co-written by Tekin Girgin. The film follows the outline of the same story as what was written by Homer, condensing Odysseus’ (Dylan Vox) journey into a 90 minute epic, nearly half the newest adaptation’s runtime. The film is also known by its alternate title God Wars, taking a few creative liberties in its retelling of Odysseus’ travels back to his homeland.
The adaptation takes shape through a stunning ensemble cast headlined by Dylan Vox, Lara Heller, Kelly B. Jones, Dan Renalds, and Andi Royer among others. Odysseus meets many characters along his way back to Ithaca portrayed by these performers, making for a smorgasbord of talent on display alongside the road back home.
