Tom Holland Not Voicing Peter Parker in Upcoming “Spider-Man” Animated Series

Tom Holland will reportedly not be reprising his role as Peter Parker in the upcoming Disney+ animated series “Spider-Man Freshman Year”.
According to The Illuminerdi, it’s no surprise that the “Spider-Man” star won’t be returning to voice his character in animated form, as in Marvel’s latest animated series “What If?”, members of the Avengers were all voiced by actors who didn’t play their live-action counterparts (including a Peter Parker cameo, which was voiced by Hudson Thames).
Announced at last year’s Disney+ Day, “Spider-Man Freshman Year” is the origin story of how Peter Parker became Spider-Man, and grew into the hero that we all know and love. Not much is known yet about the unreleased series, but it will be animated in a style reminiscent of the original Marvel comics. Perhaps more details will surface on Friday, during San Diego Comic Con’s Marvel Studios Animation panel.
