Pleasantville: Life In Color

By George Robbins

[usr 4.3]

There is a lot that can be said about this film, and the most obvious thing would be about the themes present throughout. The most prevalent themes throughout are related to change and how people react to things that are different. These themes are very easily seen throughout the entirety of the film from the start and all the way through to the end. Change is something that people will fight against any time that it is brought up and this extends to things that are different as well. People will fight tooth and nail to ensure that things always remain the same, but there are people who will fight against that sort of thing and they will do their best to bring about necessary change. This film does a superb job of showing off just that and it is a film that I feel as though everyone needs to see at least once in their life.
