Disney's Onward

Disney constantly releases new movies and a majority of them are animated films in order to draw in crowds of families. Onward is no exception to this routine of films, and is sure to bring in crowds the same way that all other Disney films have in the past. What I am saying is that animated films are nothing new for Disney, and Onward is no exception. Pixar is who is working on the movie as with most CGI animated Disney productions.

Onward sees two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, going on an journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father. There father died when they were too young to remember him and they want to spend what time they can with him. Even if that means they can only spend one more day with him. What people are in for is an adventure of a lifetime that sees two boys trying to find just a little bit more family time.

The movie stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer, Ali Wong, Lena Waithe, and Mel Rodriguez. The movie is being directed by Dan Scanlon who also directed Monsters University. Another Monsters University alumni, Kori Rae, is producing the film. Onward is written by Dan Scanlon, Jason Headley, and Keith Bunin. Onward will premiere to theaters on March 6, 2020.
