Where to really start this film review for ‘The Philadelphia Experiment.’ The best place to begin I suppose is that this film is based off of an urban legend about the so called ‘true’ Philadelphia experiment. This fact alone makes the film seem eerie. This helps the film, however, as it just makes the film more tense. After watching the events that transpire in the film, it can leave viewers stunned that maybe, just maybe, it all happened. This is how I’d imagine feeling if I saw it when it first released.

The first time I watched through the film, I had an uneasy feeling. The uneasy feeling never really goes away, even now when I think about it. This lends itself to the film very well and makes it all the more entertaining. Though those of you who have seen it know, perhaps, what I’m talking about I don’t want to ruin the moment for others. Thus, with that being said, this film is just another great science fiction film.

The 1980’s really were a great period for science fiction films, and this movie is proof. This movie makes you think; maybe an experiment like the Philadelphia Experiment actually existed. Most people would say absolutely not, but you never know. Hopefully after reading through this film review, some of you might start thinking that. I hope so because it would be great to have more scientific conspiracy theorists out there in the world.

This film review for the 1986 film Short Circuit is one that comes from a place of love. Anyone who sees this movie will love it.While those who have seen it know exactly why it is such a fun movie to watch. The 1980’s were a time where science fiction thrived, and this is one of the products. There are plenty of reasons to love this film; the biggest reason being the main character. There are a couple of films with lovable robots as main characters, but this is one that always pops into my head.

The main character, Number 5, is a robot that at the start may seem like he could be dangerous. That is immediately discarded however when you realize he is just like a curious child. Watching his adventure through this film is like watching an explorer discovering things for the first time. Throughout the film, Number 5 becomes more and more human and it is a joy to watch him grow. There is of course danger, but that is like life when people grow up as well.

Following this review, assuming you read this first, go watch Short Circuit for a fun film. If you like any other science fiction film from the 1980’s, you’ll like this one as well. This film has a special place in my heart as being one of the first science fiction films I’ve seen. Following this review just go and watch it however you can. Here is even a link to get you started. If you end up liking it, then my top recommendation following it is definitely ‘Wall-E.’

Any additional info on the film can pretty much be found here. Hope you enjoy it!

At the time of my writing this film review for ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil,’ the film is still new. I don’t think that it is necessary for this film to exist, but it wasn’t bad. The end of the first film did well to close out the story. Therefore, I never would have expected a sequel for that film. Though, like I said, I didn’t dislike the film, so it is probably worth a viewing.

Beware Mild Spoilers Ahead

I probably wouldn’t have gone to see it myself, but I was with family so i had no problem seeing it. When the film began, there was expositional narrative used to try and warrant a need for this film’s existence. There is no problem with that in my eyes, but it is pretty obvious that it’s there for that reason. From that point forward the film went along as I expected it to, but it was still fun to watch. I knew a villain would be introduced for the sake of plot convenience, but I can suspend my disbelief enough where it isn’t an issue.All-in-all it isn’t a bad movie, just an unnecessary one.

Conclusively I believe that people can watch whatever they want to. After reading this review it is up to you whether you want to see it, but just know that this is what it will be like. The film itself has fun moments, but I can definitely see the reason why people wouldn’t like it. You are already going to suspend your disbelief anyway for the sake of it being a movie. So, before you go, just know you’ll have to suspend it a bit more a couple of times.

If you did find it helpful then maybe a different kind of recommendation would be suitable. Perhaps a movie like Pleasantville.

For the title of this film review for ‘Wall-E,’ I felt it necessary to include what is essentially a tagline for the film. This movie is one that I have loved ever since its release. The titular character of the film is one that anyone can fall in love with at any age. This movie was made for children, and also adults who are kids at heart. Wall-e is a character that was perfectly designed to make you simply say “awww.”

As I said, this film is one that I fell in love with the first time that I saw it. I remember seeing the main character for the first time and not knowing how the movie would play out. Thus my expectations for the film were confused and it’s why I love it. However, robot all on his own is not a film, and this is why they make him sociable. this changes how the whole film plays out. Sometimes, one person can make all of the difference, and Wall-E being friendly and hard-working shows this best.

There is plenty of love that can be seen throughout the entirety of the film. Everything is animated to feel more life-like. Even the parts that don’t seem like they fit in are integrated very well into the film. Then the way the characters are portrayed pulls it all together. Therefore, I feel as though this is an animated film that cannot be missed out on. Everyone who sees this movie will most likely love it.

I think this film review for ‘Christmas Vacation’ may be unneeded, but it can’t hurt. Many people may know this film by now, but there are some who might not. This film review is for those people. I hope that it will be enough to make you watch the film. This one movie will easily go down as one of my favorite comedies of all time.

National Lampoon films exist to make people laugh, this one is a prime example of that fact. What makes the film so special is that the writing is done so well. Every single scene that can be watched throughout the film is made with comedic intent. Not everyone may laugh at every scene in the film, but I bet you will laugh hard at one scene at least. For me, I am among the group of people that can laugh at all scenes in the film.

What I am saying in this film review is that this film is always worth a watch. It may be played way too often around Christmas time, for obvious reasons, but so what. I admit that I get tired of it every once in a while as well. That doesn’t mean that I don’t think it is a great film, because it most certainly is. ‘National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation’ will go down in history as one of those films that is simply funny and fun to watch.

This film review for The Cabin in the Woods is being written to help decide if the film is worth watching. The movie is set up to seem like a slasher film at the start. This foreshadows much of the events that unfold. Thus, it is impossible to predict how it will play out. I did not know what I was going in to when I saw it for the first time. Although I knew it was a horror film, I didn’t know it was a comedy. Anyone who thought the same was in for a rude awakening.

The start of the film makes you quickly realize it is meant to be a parody. When everything begins to go wrong, I almost immediately started cracking up. The film itself is full of plenty of horror themes including the traditional blood and gore. However, as soon as people started placing bets on which monsters would kill the main cast I was holding my stomach laughing. The movie doesn’t take itself too seriously, so neither should you. It knows what it is and that is the point.

This film review for ‘The Cabin in the Woods’ is simply here to make you realize it is a fun movie. If you are going into this for a pure horror experience, then you will be disappointed. I would gladly watch this film over and over because comedy and horror just so happen to be my favorite genres. If that isn’t for you, then fine, but if it is, you are in for a good time.
