The reboot of the original Godzilla brings with it a very eerie feeling. The new Godzilla is explained in a very scientific way, but still leaves room for mystery. Thus, ‘Shin Godzilla’ can also keep interest. Therefore, if the film can keep people watching it must be good, right? That is correct and it is why I am writing this film review for ‘Shin Godzilla.’
This reboot of Godzilla was one that I was looking forward to ever since I heard about it. When I saw the film for the first time, I was confused because usually Godzilla just kind of exists. However, this time Godzilla is a creature that was unknown to the entirety of the public. Thus I was immediately hooked within the first minute of the film. Seeing a Godzilla that evolves before your eyes makes him all that more terrifying. Starting from the beginning, he is not much to look at, but he gets scary.
Even though Godzilla is weak at the start of the film, that does not mean he can’t cause tons of collateral damage. In this film he is back to just a mindless version of himself who is looking for nuclear energy. That motivation is what drives him; that, and survival pushes him to evolve rapidly. We also see how government officials would react in the modern age to something like Godzilla. Not well.
IN THE END
The next time we see Godzilla, he is a walking weapon of mass destruction. Even with advanced weaponry, he is impossible to harm permanently. Therefore, we see people trying to come up with new ways to stop him. As if to prove to us that he is a god, like his namesake, even the plan that does work won’t stop him forever. This is why I think this film is so well executed. It is also the reason why I am writing this film review for ‘Shin Godzilla.’

This film review for the beloved science fiction movie ‘The Fifth Element’ is one I look forward to writing. I hope that you will look forward to reading it. ‘The Fifth Element’ is a science fiction film with a story all its own and doesn’t draw from any other science fiction film. However, the film does draw from comic designs but the designers were a part of the films production. Thus, it is a fact that the film is a wholly original film in its own right and definitely deserves respect.
There are many films that I have seen that I didn’t like until second or third viewings. This is not one of those films. ‘The Fifth Element’ was unlike any other science fiction films because of its original designs and plot. I will admit that the plot itself, when it boils down, is just another save the world from evil film. However, this means nothing, as the plot itself has original character design, a colorful cast of characters, and is even interwoven. We get to see things from both sides of the conflict, good and evil.
The setting is a constantly changing setting between the void of space, a polluted Earth, and even on a hovering ship on a planet covered in water. As a complete science fiction nerd, this film is a dream come true. Following the settings are the cast who are comprised of some big name actors like Bruce Willis, Milla Jovovich, and Gary Oldman. This film is full of a ton of characters. Some people only play small roles, but can feel important. Sometimes they can even be important, even with a short role.
In Conclusion
This film review for ‘The Fifth Element’ is one that I am happy to write. Anyone who loves science fiction NEEDS to see this film. I don’t just recommend, but implore that you watch it. Also, if you think it is a completely serious film, it isn’t. There is plenty of comedy sprinkled throughout the movie to make it feel less like there is impending doom. This film review for the 1980 film Flash Gordon is being written to illustrate the fact it is a gem. The film itself, while strange, does have a pretty coherent plot. Following this it is also decently written, and this makes the story relatively easy to follow. Most people don’t even know where the character comes from and I can see why it would be confusing. After all a football player in space isn’t usually how sci-fi films go. At least not how watchable movies go.
The character of Flash Gordon was originally created as part of a space opera comic strip. I know that fact on its own makes the premise of this movie strange, but hear me out. Throughout the film, there are countless situations that arise and some border on the side of “huh?” The reason for which is the fact that those events seem to just be random. Though it all just ends up coming together. The absurdity of the film is what makes it so great.
For a film from the 80’s, it has a long run time at almost 2 hours. That works perfectly for the film, however, as everything that is squeezed in has a time and place. This film is an epic from the 80’s to me and I think it should be seen that way. Nothing to me compares to how the film plays out, and I will always find it entertaining. Hopefully if you decide to watch it you’ll find it entertaining as well.

I am writing this film review for the animated film Iron Giant so that my early love for the film can be expressed. It is just a fantastic film in its own right. The animation style is a little old school, but that just adds to the charm. After all, this film is a product of the late 90’s, so it isn’t like we should expect so much from it. Regardless, this film is one that both adults and children can enjoy at almost any age.
This film exists as a fun but also somewhat serious animated film. Lending to this fact is the heavy theme of weapons and hurting others. Following the discovery of the giant, there are people that simply want it destroyed, but he chooses not to fight. Pacifism is the film also plays a huge part and it is something that people should be aware of. Any children who see the movie would more than likely take the giant’s gentle nature into account. That is the biggest thing I remember from seeing it as a child.
This ‘Iron Giant’ film review exists to point that out and really not much more. The reason I might find this film so endearing is because I remember the titular giant being so kind. This is something that enters my head any time I think of the film. Therefore, I am probably not the only one to feel that way and I’m sure other children today may feel the same. This film exists as a sort of teaching tool for children that “you are who you choose to be,” and this statement could not be truer.

This film review for Shaun of the Dead is one that will be filled with gratitude. Not just gratitude for the movie, but for the Cornetto Trilogy itself. ‘Shaun of the Dead’ was released in 2004, and upon its first release, it was a film that was beloved for its writing. Following the film’s release I did not expect to see a comedy- horror film. I thought this was just going to be another zombie film. I have never been so glad to be wrong.
The Cornetto Trilogy is an anthology trilogy and this film starts it all. Thus this film is one of my favorites of all time. This is because the director, Edgar Wright, has a specific writing and directing style. Simon Pegg being involved in the writing process made it just all that more special to me. This film is an excellently crafted take on zombie films and it is full of moments that just make you laugh.
Shaun of the dead is full of moments that are quick and absurd to downright cheeky. Moving forward, all three movies have the same type of directionality. The humor is always easy to pick up on, but some of the best humor comes from paying a lot of attention to detail. Edgar Wright directed media is full of details that need to be paid attention to. Everything that happens, sometimes including background events, has a purpose in the film. These types of details make the jokes even better than if they were left on their own.
IN CONCLUSION
All of the films in the Cornetto Trilogy share the same characteristics that this one has. That just makes them all the better for it. The style of these films is a style that I have fallen in love with. Therefore, because of that style I still find new things whenever I watch the films. I hope that in reading this, you’ll watch them as well, and you pay attention to as much as possible.

Seriously a film review for the movie ‘Weird Science’ is just asking for a strange review right? Well I don’t know if it does because that would mean coming up with some weird review. Reviews are hard to make weird you know. It would have to involve a bunch of side tracking and direct conversations right? Well maybe I can do that in this review of mine.
‘Weird Science’ is one of those science fiction films from the 80’s again. Though it didn’t receive as much love upon release, it has most certainly become a cult classic. Whoever came up with that term must have been insane by the way. The point I’m trying to make is that this film is full of nuttiness, and those who have not seen it yet are in for a lot. Seriously when this happens and then that; it’s just a lot to follow. Most of all at the climax of the film. Everything just breaks and it is absolutely fantastic.
Following our discussion on ‘Weird Science’ I really hope that whoever reads this decides to watch the film. Whether you have already seen the movie or not, it is worth watching. There is a reason that this film has managed to become a cult classic. I mean seriously, the last portion of the film will make you think you are seeing things.
