The upcoming ‘The Invisible Man’ film is a re-imagining of the original novel and film adaptation of the same name. For those unaware, this movie is in the science fiction horror genre of films. For the general premise, the movie revolves around the heinous acts committed by a scientist who managed to make himself invisible. This film will more than likely be a very polarizing film like most horror films. Originally set to be part of a larger cinematic universe, ‘The Invisible Man’ is a movie that is meant to simply tell an individual story.
‘The Invisible Man’ sees a woman trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist. The woman, Cecilia Kass, escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister, their childhood friend, and his teenage daughter. Cecilia’s abusive ex commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

‘The Invisible Man’ stars Elisabeth Moss, Aldis Hodge, Storm Reid, Harriet Dyer, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen. The movie is directed by Leigh Whannell who is one half of the duo who created the Saw series of films and who also wrote for the ‘Insidious’ movies and most recently, ‘Upgrade.’ The movie is produced by Jason Blum and Kylie du Fresne and distributed through Universal Pictures. ‘The Invisible Man’ will release to theaters on February 28, 2020.
‘Monster Hunter’ is a best-selling series of video games that has managed to become something of an icon. The fact that this movie is being made in the first place shows that the games have managed to make waves, especially in the United States. There is no telling how well the movie will play out, but we can have hopes for it. Video game movies tend not to do so well since the two entertainment mediums are so vastly different. Hopefully this movie will be different.

This movie sees another world, a world of dangerous and powerful monsters that rule their domain with deadly ferocity. When Lt. Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her loyal soldiers are transported from our world to the new world, the unflappable lieutenant receives the shock of her life. In her desperate battle for survival against enormous enemies with incredible powers and unstoppable, terrifying attacks, Artemis will team up with a mysterious man (Tony Jaa) who has found a way to fight back.
‘Monster Hunter’ stars Milla Jovovich, Tony Jaa, Tip ‘T.I.’ Harris, Meagan Good, Diego Boneta, Josh Helman, Jin Au-Yeung, and Ron Perlman. The director of the film also just so happens to be Paul W.S. Anderson who was the director on the Resident Evil series of films. The movie was also written and produced by Anderson, as well as produced by Robert Kulzer, Martin Moszkowicz, Jeremy Bolt, and Dennis Berardi. It will release to theaters on September 4, 2020.
Wes Anderson is known for his quirkiness when it comes to his filmmaking, so there is a lot to look forward to with this new film. His most recent film as of late is Isle of Dogs, but he has also done films such as Fantastic Mr. Fox, Grand Budapest Hotel, and Moonrise Kingdom. Wes Anderson is known for his comedy-drama films and unique directing style. The acting in the film will surely be something to behold as well. Its a film that will, for sure, have many interconnected yet separate plots that will make it a truly interesting film.
The movie sees the staff of a European publication deciding to publish a memorial edition highlighting the three best stories from the last decade: an artist sentenced to life imprisonment, student riots, and a kidnapping resolved by a chef. These story arcs are sure to be a perfect blend between the comedic and dramatic. Put simply, Wes Anderson is sure to produce another very interesting film that is sure to entertain any who watch it.

‘The French Dispatch’ stars an ensemble cast of Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Steve Park, Bill Murray, and Owen Wilson. The film was directed by Wes Anderson, but also written by him as well as Roman Coppola, Jason Schwartzman, and Hugo Guiness. The movie is being produced by Wes Anderson, Steven Rales, and Jeremy Dawson. It is being made as a sort of love letter to journalists and primarily focuses on them all throughout the story. ‘The French Dispatch is set to premiere in theaters on July 24, 2020.
‘Antebellum’ is the next film from Lionsgate Studios from the producers of ‘Get Out’ and ‘Us.’ The movie sees successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) finding herself trapped in a horrifying reality and must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late. Avoiding horrors seems to be the name of the game for these movies and it continues now. The film is written and directed by Gerard Bush and Christopher Renz who are considered a new voice in filmmaking.

The film stars Janelle Monáe, Eric Lange, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Kiersey Clemons, and Gabourey Sidibe. The movie is produced by Zev Forman, Raymond Mansfield, Sean McKittrick, Gerard Bush, Christopher Renz, and Lezlie Wills. Disney constantly releases new movies and a majority of them are animated films in order to draw in crowds of families. Onward is no exception to this routine of films, and is sure to bring in crowds the same way that all other Disney films have in the past. What I am saying is that animated films are nothing new for Disney, and Onward is no exception. Pixar is who is working on the movie as with most CGI animated Disney productions.

Onward sees two teenage elf brothers, Ian and Barley Lightfoot, going on an journey to discover if there is still a little magic left out there in order to spend one last day with their father. There father died when they were too young to remember him and they want to spend what time they can with him. Even if that means they can only spend one more day with him. What people are in for is an adventure of a lifetime that sees two boys trying to find just a little bit more family time.
The movie stars Tom Holland, Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Octavia Spencer, Ali Wong, Lena Waithe, and Mel Rodriguez. The movie is being directed by Dan Scanlon who also directed Monsters University. Another Monsters University alumni, Kori Rae, is producing the film. Onward is written by Dan Scanlon, Jason Headley, and Keith Bunin. Onward will premiere to theaters on March 6, 2020.
