‘Blow the Man Down’ is a mystery drama that sees two sisters having to survive a mystery that they wanted no part of. The movie originally premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival in April of 2019, but will soon make its way to the general public by way of Amazon Studios. The movie is one with a lot of dark moments that people should watch it for. This movie is certainly one that is full of dark plots that will have people guessing what happens next.

For a more in-detail telling of the story, it sees Mary Beth & Priscilla Connolly covering up a gruesome run-in with a dangerous man. The result of which comes after the death of their mother, and in the face of an uncertain future. In order to conceal the truth and survive the ordeal, the sisters must go deeper into Easter Cove’s underbelly and uncover the town matriarchs’ darkest secrets.

The movie stars Morgan Saylor, Sophie Lowe with June Squibb and Margo Martindale. ‘Blow the Man Down’ was directed by Danielle Krudy and Bridget Savage Cole. The movie releases through Amazon Studios on March 20th, 2020.

‘Dream Horse’ is another in a line of movies about underdogs that must rise up to win it all. However, just because a premise is similar doesn’t mean that the story is at all. The thing about true stories is that the stories are true to at least some extent and have actually happened. So, we can’t blame them if they are similar to other stories, because to some degree, they actually happened. This movie has story elements that are sure to differentiate it from other true stories and we will go through what we know.

Not too long ago, ‘Dream Horse’ had its premiere at Sundance Film Festival. The story of which, is that of Dream Alliance, an unlikely race horse bred by small town Welsh bartender, Jan Vokes. The idea behind the horse is that a group of people put together money in order to breed a race horse that would make them the money they were all looking for. The group’s investment pays off as Dream rises through the ranks with grit and determination and goes on to race in the Welsh Grand National showing the heart of a true champion.

‘Dream Horse’ stars Toni Collette, Damian Lewis, Owen Teale, Joanna Page, Karl Johnson, Steffan Rhodri, Anthony O’Donnell with Nicholas Farrell and Sian Phillips. The movie was directed by Euros Lyn, a Welsh television director. The movie was produced by Katherine Butler and Tracy O’Riordan, and it was distributed by Bleecker Street. The movie releases to the general public on May 1st, 2020.

For those who have not seen ‘Venom,’ the mid-credits scene introduces the audience to one Cletus Kasady. Woody Harrelson plays the role of the incarcerated Kasady and is set to reprise his role for the sequel. Online recently, footage was released that showed Harrelson in his “transformation.” This all ends up setting the stage for one of the more prominent villains in the Marvel Universe, Carnage.

Carnage is one of the most sadistic characters in the Marvel Universe and seeing him on screen will be interesting. From what has been seen for the movie thus far, Carnage will be the character that fans love. He is bound for a more comic book style villain route like Riot should have been like in the first ‘Venom.’ Everyone who wanted a sequel for the movie wanted the main villain for the film to be Carnage. The biggest reason for which being that he is one of Venom’s biggest nemeses’.

‘Sonic the Hedgehog’ managed to have a very strong opening weekend, especially for a video game movie. Video game movies are known to not do well both plot wise and box office wise. This one, however, managed to do pretty well, having brought in a total of $57 million this past weekend. Jeff Fowler, the director took to social media in order to thank people for making this past weekend the biggest opening weekend for a video game movie.

The previous record holder for such a release was Detective Pikachu, which managed to gross $54.3 million in its opening weekend. With President’s Day grosses added in, ‘Sonic the Hedgehog’, starring Ben Schwartz as the voice of Sonic, managed to gross $70 million. While the critical response ended up being mixed, the general audience response was pretty good considering how many seats were sold. We’ll see if the trend continues this weekend as well.

‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’ continues the epic journey of William “Bill” S. Preston Esq. and Theodore “Ted” Logan. The two of them have a lot to live up to and a lot to figure out in their lives. When they were young, on a time-travelling adventure, they were told they would save the universe. Things haven’t quite seemed to turn out how they expected, however, and a new adventure might just be out on the horizon.

The now middle aged best friends must set out on a new adventure when a visitor from the future warns them that only their song can save life as we know it. This is the moment they have been waiting for in order to do what they were destined for after so long. Along the way, they will be helped by their daughters, a new batch of historical figures, and a few music legends. All to find the song that will set their world right and bring harmony in the universe.

‘Bill & Ted Face the Music’ stars Keanu Reeves, Alex Winter, Samara Weaving, Brigette Lundy- Paine, Scott Mescudi (Kid Cudi), Kristen Schaal, Anthony Carrigan , Erinn Hayes, Jayma Mays, Jillian Bell, Holland Taylor, Beck Bennett, William Sadler, Hal Landon Jr. and Amy Stoch. It is directed by Dean Parisot who was also responsible for the movie ‘Galaxy Quest.’ The screenplay for the film was done by screenplay by Chris Matheson and Ed Solomon who also wrote the screenplays for ‘Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure’ and ‘Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey.’ The movie will release over the summer and more specifically, August 21st, 2020.

As of this being posted, ’21 Bridges’ has been released on Blu-Ray/DVD and is available to all of the general public. Those who have seen it know that it is a film that is worth watching. It follows an NYPD detective as he tries to find a pair of cop killers. All of it begins after the uncovering a massive and unexpected conspiracy. Eventually, he doesn’t know who he is really after or who is after him.

When the search intensifies, extreme measures are taken to prevent the killers from escaping Manhattan as the authorities close all ’21 Bridges’ to prevent any entry or exit from the iconic island. The movie is directed by Brian Kirk and stars Chadwick Boseman, Sienna Miller, Stephan James, Keith David with Taylor Kitsch and J.K. Simmons. The official release date for the Blu-Ray/DVD version of the film is today’s date, February 18th, 2020. So get out there and watch the film.
